Sample Injection
1 Delute sample in hexane and apply onto column
Purification
2 AgNO3 - Silica gel column - removal of sulphur compounds
3 H2SO4 - Silica gel column - hydrolysis of fats and removal of basic compounds
Concentration
4 Carbon based column - retention of dioxins by structural interaction
5 Alumina based column (only needed for PCBs analysis) - retention of PCBs by polar interaction
Elution
6 Dioxin Fraction
7 PCB Fraction

 All columns and tubings needed are included in each set 

How it Works

  • Dissolve the extracted sample in hexane and apply it to the column
    The system performs automatically the following steps
    - Clean-up
    - Concentration
    - Elution of PCBs fraction
    - Elution of Dioxins fraction
  • Pick up the collected fractions
